Hi,

I have been given a PowerPoint presentation to work on, trouble is, it
immediately crashes when I make a modification. Why? And how can I stop
this?

I have XP Pro, Office XP all up to date. The document originates from a
machine running W2k and, I am told, the latest version of PowerPoint, though
I am unable to verify this.

Since this happens only with one presentation, there is probably something
in that file that causes the crash. Try editing any other slide in the
presentation - does the error still occur? I'm not sure what's causing the
crash, but these might help:

Hi,

In addition to the good advice of Geetesh, you could try round tripping it
into html and back to maybe get rid of errors. There is a tutorial on how to
do that in the tutorial section of the address in my signature. But I would
follow Geetesh's advice first, as round tripping wont fix these types of
errors listed. If it works, I'd love to know <g>.
