I created some presentations in ppt 03 and updated them into 07. Now my animations show a shadow of text before they fly in. I have made sure all of the shadow options are deselected. It ruins the fly-in effect if all of the text is readable before it is animated. When I create a new presentation in 07 and animate, the effects are fine. I am trying to avoid re-doing all of the previous 03 presentations. Anyone solved this problem?

I don't have multiple versions of PowerPoint to try recreating this anymore, but my first instinct would be to try saving the file as a PPTX, then close and re-open it to see if this changes. Don't get rid of the original until you see how this looks. In my experience, PowerPoint is the worst of the Office products when it comes to reading material from older versions. Good Luck!
