Contact Manager is active. There are four inactive add-ins....looks
like
they are all related to Document Inspectors. No document or disabled
application add-ins. By the way, I do not use Contact Manager so I
could
easily disable it.

In addition to a printer driver issue (which Michael mentioned), it
could
also be an add-in conflict. If you go to Office Button | PPT Options
|
Add-ins, what is listed there?

Well, Diagnostics ran and found nothing. All my updates are
current,
too.
Do you have any other ideas? It also happens in Word, although not
every
time as it does in PowerPoint. Thanks for your help, Sandy
:
If after you have installed the patch, hopefully it will repair
whatever
is
broken. If not, then click on the Office Button, PowerPoint
Options,
Resources, and click on the Diagnose button. That should fix the
problem.
You may have to insert your original CD

Much obliged. I have Ofice 2007 and regularly check for updates.
I'm
downloading the Office patch now, thanks to you. I hope that will
help.
I
think that's the same as Detect and Repair?
:
Which version of PowerPoint? Have you done a Detect and Repair?
Have
all
the
Service Patches been applied?

Can you please tell me how to fix this? Every time I use
Powerpoint
and
almost every time I use Word, they show this error message upon
closing:
PPT/Word has experienced an error and needs to close.
Thanksfully,
I
don't
always lose info but what gives? I'm in Windows XP on a PC.
Thanks, Sandy
