I've created a ppt master (a number of template/background slides to choose
among) in ppt2007(compatability format) for a user to use. She works in
ppt2003.

When trying to open it I find no way for her, in ppt2003, to choose among
the different layouts. Only the standard layout alternatives appear.

Have tried saving from ppt 2007 in both .ppt and .pot and opened in 2003 to
no avail.

Hi Erland

Do you have access to 2003? There have been significant changes to the way
masters/layouts/colour schemes work between '03 and '07 so I always use the
same version as a client when creating templates. I think the specific issue
you are coming across is that in 2007 you can add your own placeholders but
in '03 you can't. Try creating sample slides of the layouts that the client
can copy/paste instead.

I am not sure if this is the same issue as I am brand new to power point. I have 2007 and I am trying to send it to a classmate who has 2003. She is going to take my part of the presentation and put it together with the others. What is the simplest easiest way for a non-techie to send it to her. (She couldn't open my attachment.) Thanks
