PPT 2007 hidden slides still show

I have some slides hidden in PPT 2007, but when I run slide show, they still
appear. Any suggestions?

Hidden slides will show if you link directly to them or if the you are
currently on a hidden slide and advance to the next slide, which is also
hidden. If none of this applies to you, then I think you have some other
problem, and I don't know the answer.

For me, it skips hidden slides if I go forward, but will go on to them if I go backwards and the last slide was hidden.
