I have installed PowerPoint 2007 but still run Excel 2003. When I insert a
chart in PPT 2007 it inserts a 2003 chart. Then once I convert it I lose the
ability to make any changes to the chart data (when I click to edit the data
nothing happens). Do I need Excel 2007 to properly run PowerPoint 2007?

That would help to make all my charts MSGraph, but I would like the
opposite... I would like to use the new excel charts, not the old MSGraph
charts. The problem is PPT creates the MSGraph charts, then once I convert
them PPT I'm not able to edit the data because Excel never launches. This is
why I'm wondering if I need Excel 2007 to go along with the new Excel charts
in PPT 2007.
