Thank you. I'm not what any of this really means...lol.... but I do
know
that I inserted an MP3 and it works. I tried to convert it to a WAV
and
insert it but it wouldn't work. I also had to make sure that the MP3
file
was in the same file folder as the PPT.
:
What I meant to say at the last part of that post is that that 5000
embedding/linking limit applies only to WAV files.

MP3s do not embed (unless you've added a RIFF WAV header with
something
like CDEX).
MP3s will indeed insert, but they will not embed, and that's what
that
50000 is -- an embedding/linking limit.

Such a process but it's simple once you know what it is. In PPT
click
on
the
office button (top left) and then down to Power point options at
the
bottom.
Click on Advanced and then scroll down to the bottom to 'Save'.
Enter
50000
and click ok. Go to 'Insert' tab and s
'Sounds' and then 'Sound from File' and choose your sound file. It
doesn't
have to be a WAV file as everyone says. MP3's work. A megaphone
will
appear
in the slide...move it off the slide so it won't show in your
presentation.
Go to 'Animations' tab and click on 'Custom Annimation'. Right
click
your
chosen sound file at the right and then 'Effect Options' and then
in
'Stop
Playing' click 'After' and then set the number of slides you want
the
song to
play over. Click OK. Now still in 'Animations' tab move over to
'Advance
Slide' to the right and check 'Automatically After' and set your
slide
speed.
Go to 'Slide Show' tab and click 'From Beginning'. Both slide show
and
music should play together.
:
double-click the sound in the animation pane and put 999 in the
"stop
playing after" box.

I've tried everything I can think of to get the presentation
I've
saved as
a pps to play automatically. It starts with the first slide,
starts
music,
but never goes anywhere else.
I've got the slide animation ticked at 6 sec interval, the set
up
looped
continously, slow slides 'all' and advance slides checked at
using
timings
if present.
what am I doing wrong?
thanks
Pam
