PPT 2007>2003 video won't play

Can anyone help me to get my video to play in PPT?

I am using a PPT file saved as a 2003 compatible file being run on a
PPT 2007 platform. When I embed the .wmv file PowerPoint recognizes
the link but won't play the file. I have not moved either the video
file or the PPT file since embedding the video.

I have the video set to "play on click," but when I click it (in slide
show) the screen goes white and the video doesn't play. I've tried re-
embedding the file, to no avail.

I tried running the PPT on a MS Office 2003 system, but that didn't
make any difference. The video still doesn't play.
 
Do you have a long path to the video? If so move everything to a folder
with a short path (Example C:\Test) and reisnert the video. Does that solve
it?
