I work in a mixed Office group. One person upgraded to Office 2003 and
new we can't see comments (stickies) that he posts in presentations (the
presentations themselves seem to work fine.) The rest of us are using Office
97, XP and X (Mac). Is there a converter for the rest of us or a setting in
Office 2003 that will make things compatible?

The PowerPoint 2002 users should be able to see them. To convert them for
PowerPoint 97 users, see the following. For Mac users I haven't a clue
unless the trick below works.

Convert PowerPoint 2002 comments into PowerPoint 2000 comments

What Sonia said. Or if you want an easier to use version of the same thing,
there's an inexpensive update to our free PPTools Starter Set ( www.pptools.com
) that includes a comment tool that inserts backward-compatible comments.
