I use PPT 2003 on a laptop with a data projector. I have discovered I can
print out my notes page by page, but is there any way I can have a permanent
second window open on my computer for the notes so I can read them while I
am showing a presentation- without the notes also being projected on the
screen?

PowerPoint has Presenter View that gets you the notes on your laptop while
projecting the slide show. In PPT 2003, select "Slide Show" | "Set Up
Show..." menu item, check the "Show Presenter View" box, click OK. Now start
slide show.

And of course, as I have just realised, I have to be running my projector or
second monitor for it to work- DOH!
Thank you for the speedy reply and accurate info-
