I have XP pro and MS Office PPT 2003.
I've been sent a corporate file in which the logo animates --
the first slide is blank, and the 2nd slide should run automatically,
animating the logo.

Problem is, in show mode, it sticks on the first blank slide, and when I
mouse click, it skips the 2nd slide altogether (which is a hidden slide
anyway) and goes to slide 3.

I tried it on a PC with PPT2002 and it works.

Is the emailing sending just hosing it? Why won't it work in the newer PPT
version?

Have you applied Service Pack 1 to your installation of Office 2003? If not, go
to Help > Check for Updates.

Is the "animation" an animation defined in PowerPoint? Or is it an animated
GIF file? If the latter, then check it in an appropriate program (e.g.
Animation Shop, which comes with PaintShopPro), whether the animation is set
to run only once. PowerPoint 2003 does NOT play GIF animations set to "1"
and subtracts 1 from the repeats, thus a animation set to repeat 2 times
will be played once, and so on. With a looping animated GIF you are on the
safe side. You cannot change this number in PowerPoint, but in an editing
program like the one mentioned above.

Kind regards,
Ute
