Using Powerpoint 2002 with Windows XP I have two
powerpoint presentations each being in excess of 120 Mb.
My system has 512 Mb of RAM and there is plenty of HDD
spacce available (10 Gb). But when working with these two
presentations, (inserting pictures, etc.), Powerpoint
will lock up and you have to end task and start over.
Does anyone have a solution or a way to allocate memory
available to Powerpoint?
It's becoming a pain to insert a picture, then save, and
keep waiting for one time that the system locks up.

120 Mb of presentation is a bit LARGE. Have you optimized the images for
use in PPT?

120 MB represents to size of the file on a hard disk. What happens when the
file is open is a whole different thing...you have resources allocated to
linking here, and there, and all manner of stuff we'd rather not worry
about.

Like Austin says...120 is real big. There's no size limit, but this one big
relative to most presentations by a factor of three or four. Is this 350
slides, or 35 slides? If it's 350 then maybe it's better to split the pres
and link them. If 35, then your pictures are too big.

Throw us some details and the solutions will practically fly at you. :-)
