Just installed PPT2002. The clip art viewer is definitely inferior to the
clip art viewer on PPT2000. Smaller screen area, no categories - it's very
disappointing.

Is this something I have to live with, or is ther a way to improve the clip
art viewer in PPT2002?

Click at the bottom of the task pane where it says "organize clips." That
opens the Clip Organizer, and you can see the categories listed on the left
in the various folders.

If I understand the question, here is a possible workaround.

Clip Organizer has never worked for me (it always crashes), so I put the
Office XP clips in Clip Gallery, find them in PhotoDraw 2000 Version 2
(keywords, categories, etc.), and then copy and paste them into Office XP.

This includes all free clips downloaded from Microsoft. I have it save them
with the .CIL clip Gallery extension, instead of the Clip Organizer
extension.

It's a fresh Office 2002 install on a clean Win98SE machine with all
updates, only 30 minutes old.

EXACTLY what I wanted - thanks!
