PPT 07 Not Saving Changes

We are currently using Powerpoint 2007, when opening files over a network
drive (very small only around 300KB), editing them and then saving we find
that the edits don't save. When we then re-open the supposedly amended file
it is the old document. We are able to save the file correctly I believe
using Save As however the Save icon will not save correctly for us, any ideas?

On Windows Vista?

Turn off the Preview Pane in Windows Explorer (you can see a small preview
in the Details Pane instead) if you are going to be opening up network
presentations via Windows Explorer.
