PPT 03 Viewer error message when started under 98, disableable?

Will market CD's with both PPT97 and 2003 viewer so any version of Windows
will show them. Can I disable the error message from appearing when a 98
computer tries to launch the 2003 viewer from a distributed CD? Thanks

Because they will not ever know the CD tried to, will think it was designed
just for them, and go straight to a manual install as described on the label
if an auto install does not take place.

No. Why would you want to? It explains why the program can't be run.

A coder could probably write a simple little VB program that would autorun and
test for the version of Windows and then trigger the running of the appropriate
Viewer. Easy for me to say since I don't do coding.
