I'm using PP from Office 97. I made a show with pictures and music. I
carefully timed the slides to coincide with the music. Then I burned it
into a CD. It doesn't play according to the same timing. What happened?
Is there something I should do?

If you read some of the archived discussions on that subject, you'll find
out that PowerPoint is not really a good vehicle for that. And it's not all
PowerPoint's fault. Files may not run the same speed on a CD as they do on
the hard drive. Move it to a different computer and the speed problem
compounds. If you are trying to make a music video or include one in your
show, find another program and make a movie of it. Then include that in the
show.

Hi, Cheryl. I'm going to assume that you've made an
autorun CD which uses the viewer to run the presentation.
I found that the viewer treats the show very differently
compared with running the show from inside the PowerPoint
program itself. I had to use the viewer (downloadable
free from Microsoft) to run the show and adjust times
accordingly by trial and error.

Incidentally, if you need custom music tracks for your
presentations, I can do them for you at very reasonable
rates.

Something else I discovered is that the viewer likes .wav
files better than MP3, but I can do both.
