PPS plays portions of slides twice

I have created a powerpoint presentation in pp2000. It plays fine from
the hard disk using the installed pp2000.

I then created a cd with all the correct ppview97 files in the
appropriate directories on the cd and the correct autorun.inf.

While the first slide plays just fine (including the embedded wav
file), following slides play portions of animations twice.

Some slides also do not display properly, but start to display over
portions of their previous slide.

Is it possible that the installed powerpoint 2000 somehow gets some of
the calls and therefor interferes with the powerpoint viewer 97 on the
cd?

Hope some of you gurus can help. Thanks

The 97 Viewer does not support all of the animations possible with PPT 2000,
which may be the primary problem. Here is a page that describes what IS NOT
supported by the 97 Viewer: http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00282.htm

But in October Microsoft released a NEW viewer. the 2003 Viewer is free and
it does handle a much wider range of animations. In addition it is smaller
and much easier to use (does not need to be installed or have a dozen .dll
files on the CD). Here is a link to get all of the details:

I don't use any of the unsupported features. My problem is that some
slides and some slide objects play twice. Some display incorrectly the
first time, but then display correctly the 2nd time.

I already tried the new 2003 viewer. It works well, except it does not
play the embedded 1 minute MPEG clip.

Any suggestions anyone?

Does anyone know how to include the mpeg movie on the disk so it plays
automatically after the powerpoint presentation? If I could do that,
then I can use the new 2003 ppviewer?
