PPS opening in I E

I have a powerpoint slide show on a server. I have a web
page with a hyperlink to the pps. When the link is opened
the pps opens in Internet explorer - How can I get
the .pps to open in it's own right, i.e as I originally
designed it, not in Internet Explorer? Any ideas welcomed!
