When I send out an email containing a .PPS slide show as
an attachment, it is converted to the reciver as a .Dat
file, Can you help me
Thanks Barney

Barney,

This sounds like either your email software has converted it to a .dat file
Or the recipients email software has converted it to a .dat file.

Sometimes....Zipping the file before emailing can help the powerpoint file
get through.

Obviously the recipient will have to unzip the file (www.winzip.com) and
this will stop the .pps from autorunning. but it will still run when unziped
