Hello,

why is pp2007 running so slowly?
pp2003 works fine and fast
on the opposite, pp2007, installed on the same pc, is working frustrating slowly
how to fix?

pc: pentium4, 2,8Ghz, 512MBRam

thanks, max.

I didn't know this. Where did you catch this solution?
Nice sunday to you

Jean-Pierre, installing a Windows-certified printer driver (like the one
used in the tutorial John linked to) is important to PPT 2007. It resolves a
lot of strange issues with text and display. It wouldn't surprise me if it
fixes this slowness problem also. See this page for more symptoms and
information:

PowerPoint 2007 text editing slow, text cut off, text display or formatting
problems, print, crash problems

Well, 512MB RAM isn't a whole lot, but I don't think the response should be
that bad. I don't know what would be causing it, though.

Have you updated your video drivers lately?

Office 2007 isn't installed on a virtual PC or VM Ware PC, is it?

This is going to sound strange but try either adding a local default
printer
if there isn't one installed (even if you don't actually have one
attached)
or try changing the default to another printer. Get back if that helps.
