Jean-Pierre, installing a Windows-certified printer driver (like the one
used in the tutorial John linked to) is important to PPT 2007. It
resolves a lot of strange issues with text and display. It wouldn't
surprise me if it fixes this slowness problem also. See this page for

This is going to sound strange but try either adding a local default
printer
if there isn't one installed (even if you don't actually have one
attached)
or try changing the default to another printer. Get back if that
helps.
