PP2007 BUG: Slide Master object positions "creep"

How to reproduce the problem: create a slide master with a line drawn between
the title placeholder and the text placeholder. Open the presentation on
another computer (with Office 2007). Surprise, the line "creeps" upward,
usually into the title placeholder.

You may need to install a Windows-certified printer driver and set it as the
default on the problem system.

This problem occurs on computers that are not connected to printers and have
only Microsoft's own XPS Document Writer driver installed, so "certification"
wouldn't seem to be the problem.

In any case, the very nature of PowerPoint makes it essential that
presentations display identically on any computer, anywhere, that has the
software. The suggestion that standard procedure for delivering a
presentation created in PP2007 is to call ahead to where you're going to make
a presentation and persuading them to change their default printer drivers is
ludicrous.

I don't disagree with you -- but I'm trying to give you information that may
resolve the issue.

You don't have to have a printer actually attached to the system, but PPT
2007 does rely on printer drivers more heavily than previous versions. So
you need to install one of the printer drivers that ships with Windows
(which will be certified) -- I wouldn't expect the XPS document writer to do
the trick.
