I am using PowerPoint in Office 2008 for Apple which I understand to be the
equivalent of Office 2007. I have recorded sound on a few slides and desire
to have automatic start of sound on each slide (as opposed to clicking on the
icon).

Everything I read says that there is a popup screen which gives the choice
-- but I do not get the screen. I do not knowingly have popups blocked.

How do I get (or get around) the popup so that my sound will start
automatically when I click on the PowerPoint slide?

Thanks for your help!

Dear RMennell,

Someone in the Mac newsgroup might be better at this, but I'll take a stab.

In your toolbar, choose, Slide Show > Transitions. At the left of the
resulting menu, you'll find a button named Options. Click on that. In the
resulting Transition Options dialog box that *pops up* choose Sound. You'll
get a long menu of sound options. Scroll down to the bottom to find New
Sound. Click and browse to find your sound file.

Hope this helps.

Sandy
