Previous post gave incorrect error message. Actual message is "PowerPoint
found an error that it can't correct. You should save presentations, quit,
and restart PowerPoint" This is attempt to print a PP deck created in PP2003
SP2 under XP Pro on a machine running PP2000 SP3, OS unknown.

If you create a simple one-slide presentation with just text, can the 2000
machine print that?

(It's a test to see if it's a problem with all 2003 files or if it's just
something specific to the one file.)

Had the same thought, and the simple deck does print. Suggests that it is a
graphic within my deck, or something to do with the homegrown template
(although no exotic fonts are used). Wish there was some way to scan the
deck and have a program point to a specific chart as problematic.

Yeah.

Anything unusual on any of them? Maybe that is a place to start.

Maybe try Shyam's Batch Exporter and save each slide as an individual file,
then you can try printing each. I'd start with the ones that are the largest
file-size-wise. http://skp.mvps.org/download.htm

Give this a read and particularly try the last set of suggestions re
round-tripping:
