Hello group!
I want to export elements on my slide to an bitmap format (e.g. tiff, jpg,
png).
Unfortunately even PP2007 doesn't have any settings for elaborated image
exports. I can't change the resolution of the output in the menus.
Some research brought me to a registry tweak. I could change the default
output resolution of a WHOLE slide up to 300 dpi (3072 pixel per side).
(for those of you intersted, go check out:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827745 )
Now what I do is i export a slide in the highest resolution to PNG, then go
cropp the image so that I cut out only the things I actually want.
So far this is ok, since I get what I want.
But now my question: How can I do it more comfortably? There is the
possibility to mark and then "rightmouse>save as image", which only exports
the marked elements and would make any further cropping unnecessary.
But this ready-cropped export doesn't use the high resolution, but a
resolution which seems to be correlated to the size of the slide.
I thought ok and increased the size of the slides to e.g. A3, then exported
the elements. That would do it, only now I have another problem: Since I use
3D-elements (with shadows and bevels), those get a new proportion due to the
hughe size of the elements: The shadows and bevels shrink down to almost
invisible when the slide is very big!
So: Is there any method to tell powerpoint which resolution to take when
exporting ONLY MARKED ELEMENTS of a slide, similar to that registry tweak
which was valid FOR THE WHOLE SLIDE?
Thanx for any hint
