Is there a way to have and use both Viewers? If so, when using Pack & Go how do you
specify which one to use.....or can you use Pack & Go then move the Viewer you wan
into the unpacked file? Any suggestions?

Evelyn,
As far as I know, there is no problem with having both Viewers installed (at
least I haven't run into any yet). Pack & Go will only use the older
Viewer. Package for CD (the 2003 version of Pack & Go) will only use the new
one. If you are running 2002 and want the 2003 Viewer instead of the old
one, you will need to do it yourself. Check Echo's site for information on
that:

Hope this helps!

I did copy Echo's information, but............I have PP VIEWER 2003, but it won't run on Win 98 - only on 98SE. Do I
understand that with both Viewers on my system using PP2002 program that it will only use Viewer 97?

You can actually have both Viewers on your system. I think that Kathy
understood that you wanted to "pack" the presentation and include both
Viewers in the packed file. That is what isn't possible. Tell us more
about what you want to do with the packed presentation and we might be able
to give you better advice. Do you want to send your presentation to others
with Windows 98? If so, send them the Pack and Go version because it uses
the old Viewer which runs fine on Win 98. In fact, send it to anyone and it
will run fine. However, the old Viewer does not support many of the
animations and transitions that are available to you in PowerPoint 2002.
When planning to distribute with the old Viewer, it is best to go to Tools >
Options > Edit and check the three items at the bottom of the message box to
disable them.

Yes, I want both Viewers on my system. One to use for people who have Win 98 the other for people using 98SE and XP
I now understand that when using Pack & Go it will use Viewer 97, and when using Viewer 2003 not to include the viewer but to move the seven files to the folder before burning to a CD. Many thanks!

Evelyn. I know it can be rather confusing.
