I just tried the new PP Viewer (2003). In my presentation, linked sounds
(.mid files) don't play, but they do when I use the '97 viewer. The links
are all set to be pathless - ie, to the current directory. I have read the
FAQs on linking (eg, "Links break when I move presentation") - and these
don't adress the issue. The MS download page contains the statement
"The following Microsoft PowerPoint features are not supported by this
viewer:
a.. Information Rights Management (IRM) presentations.
b.. Running macros, programs, or opening linked or embedded objects. "
Linked objects can't mean sounds, can it?
