Pp video missing "some" file

I (foolishly) cleaned out my computer using Ccleaner and deleted a file that
I need (although I do not know which one that is). Now, when I try to play
any mpg, the program freezes, says it unexpectedly has to shut down, and it
restarts without having run the movie clip. It runs .avi just fine! I
thought it was my MS office program, so I upgraded to Office 2007. It still
does it. How can I figure out which file is missing from powerpoint (or my
computer) to get it back running?

Thanks!

You more than likely need to reinstall Windows Media Player. By default it
is the program that plays your mpeg files.

Do I need to Uninstall Windows Media Player before I reinstall it? I updated
it and pp still will not play mpgs. It sends an error report & then closes.

Media Player plays the mpgs -- pp still will not. I will try to uninstall
WMP11 and then reinstall it

It sounds to me like you have deleted more than just the video file. What
version of Windows are you running?
