IS there a way to output the slideshow to a file with all of the font sizes
& attributes as well as the wording?

Depends on what you mean by 'output to a file'.

If you want a 100% fully functional copy, than the PPT files work pretty
well.

If you want simple pictures of the slides, save as JPGs

If you want a show to start automatically, try a PPS file output

Or are you asking for a file that will run the show without installing
PowerPoint on the destination computer? If so, than there are viewers
available on-line. Or you could capture the show to a movie AVI file

But now I'm curious, what do you want to do with this output file?

I want to have a file similar to the outline view but with the additional
formating, font size & color, etc. of each slide. Of course, the .ppt file
is in graphics format, and I cannot find an add-on that gives this info to
me.
Any & all ideas, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried File > Send To > Microsoft Word? You'll probably have to
make changes to the .DOT template in Word to get the formating you want, but
it's a great way to get the test into a single file.
