PP Package

I'm new to PowerPoint and I got to transport a presentation on disk or cd to
a host location. I don't yet know or understand whether or not it's
sufficient just to copy the .ppt or are there other resources, like the
graphics, that I must copy as well.

What version of PowerPoint do you have? What version of Windows are you
running? The right answer to your question will depend on your answers.
Whatever you do, don't try to save directly to a CD or floppy or thumb drive.
All linked files must be included. That means most music and all video files.
Images are normally embedded.

Lew,
With that combination, you have an easy solution available to you. Do
File--> Package as CD. As set up, it will write the presentation and any
linked files to a blank CD if that CD is in your drive. Try it and see if it
does what you need. If it doesn't post back with more details about what is
in your presentation that didn't end up on the CD.
