Probably. Go to Windows Control Panel, Add-Remove Programs and opt for a
repair or "change" installation. Then go in there and make sure the clip
organizer is set to "run from my computer."
You might also try Help | Detect and Repair (2002) or Office Button | PPT
Options | Resources | Diagnostics (2007) before doing that.

I don't think this is the issue. I hit Insert/Clip Art and it should
pull
up
the clip art that comes w/PP - but instead it freezes up... in both
2002
and
2007. Is there a way to reinstall the clip art component?
:
I'm not sure if this is your problem but this used to happen to me
when
the
files I was trying to insert were Windows Meta Files ( .wmf ) that
were
on
Microsoft's clip art site. The company I was working for was blocking
the
download of these files for security reasons. When I worked from home
where
I was accessing the files through my Internet Service Provider rather
than
my company's, there was no problem inserting these files. I was using
PowerPoint 2003.
Other clip art files (JPEGs, GIFs, etc.) were allowed through the
company's
firewall and would not lock up PowerPoint.
I don't have PowerPoint on the netbook I'm writing this message with.
Please
reply if the above isn't clear and I'll provide more information
tomorrow.
Or someone else here will do so more quickly.
Bob
I have a dual install of PP XP (2002) and 2007 on my machine. On both
versions of PP, if I click the clip art button to insert clip art,
it
freezes
up - can't do a thing but CTRL+ALT+DEL and shut it down (have lost
some
work
this way, very frustrating). The machine is on Win XP.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dawn
