PP crashes when I try Save As Webpage

I have several files that were originally created on an XP machine with Office XP
When I try to "Save As Webpage" from PowerPoint on a machine running Win2K and Office2K, PowerPoint crashes... no error messages... it just completely disappears

I've tried these same files on multiple computers - if I try to do the Save using a computer running WinXP, it works, but no other computer running 2k can save the file. I have run all the Office updates on this machine, but still on luck. Other PP files created on other machines will save just fine

I can't find anything on MS's site that helps at all... anyone have any idea what's going on and whether or not it's even possible to fix? Thanks...

more info..
I took these slides, which consist, visibly, of a background, a large picture, and a title
I delete the picture, which was covering the rest of the slide, then there were two boxes showing: one that said "click here to insert object" and another that said "click here to insert title". If I delete both of these, then paste my picture back, it saves to Web Page just fine

Also, if I go back and re-add the Title, it still saves just fine. (and also seems to add that "click here to insert object" box

Any ideas? :(

Sometimes a corrupted file or shape within a file can cause problems like what you
describe. Oddly, "roundtripping" to HTML and back can clean up some kinds of
corruption.

Try saving as web page on the computer where it works, then choose File, Open in
PPT and choose the HTML file you just created. PPT should open it up just as
though it were a PPT file.

If so, choose File, Save As and save as a PPT file again, giving it a new name.

See if it behaves better on the other computers.

Odd. The "click here" boxes are placeholders, and usually having empty ones on a
slide causes no problems. One might be corrupt somehow, though.

But it sounds as though you've found a solution to the problem, no?

finally...
the problem was solved by simply saving the file (from the XP version) as
PowerPoint 98-2000 instead of just saving it... this seemed to increase the size
of the file exponentially, but it does finally save as web page from 2000 when I
try it...

Cool! So what you do next is open it again and save it again normally rather than
as PowerPoint 95-200whatever. That should knock it down to size again.
