PP 2007 : Text not displaying as expected

Hi ...

Have recently upgraded from PP 2003 to PP 2007 and am encountering an
issue with one of my older presentations.

When the presentation is opened none of the text appears although the
text is definitely there [ e.g. you can highlight it and change it to
another font and it reappears ].
Strangely enough when you highlight the presentation in Windows
Explorer the Details panel shows a preview of the presentation with
the text showing.

The font used for the presentation is not actually installed on the
computer, but I've tried the presentation on other computers that do
not have the font installed and the text displays without issue.

I've tried a registry hack to try and force a font substitution, but
this didn't appear to make any difference.

Any thoughts or ideas on how to troubleshooting this issue further
would be of great assistance.

First thing I would do is save the presentation as a PPT 2007 file. When you
open a 2003 file with 2007, the new features in 2007 are blocked. Once the
file is saved as a 2007 file, you will have access to all the 2007 features.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've already tried saving the presentation as a 2007 file to ensure
that it's not a compatibility issue; unfortunately it didn't make any
difference [ e.g. the text still didn't display ].

I kind of suspected that it wasn't a compatibility issue, as when I
was testing the presentation on another workstation it opened fine
[ using the 2007/2003 compatibility mode ].

Thanks in advance for any other suggestions on how to troubleshoot
this issue.
