I'm using PP 2007 on a new portable system running Vista. I cannot find a
way to do a "Save As" for an existing presentation. I like to be able to
save under several different files names while I'm working on a
presentation, since I have to decide on various combinations of pictures,
text, etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Right now, I can only find the
little "floppy disk" icon for Save.

Thanks in advance,

Melissa

Click on the Office-Button in the top left-hand corner of the screen. the
4th item in the list is Save as.

Best regards,
Ute

Click the Office button in the top left corner of the PPT window. That
will give you a menu with everything you are looking for.

Thank you so much! Vista has scrambled my brain, and I've not used PP since
Office 2000. I've stumbled my way through most of the options, but just
couldn't find this option. Over the next couple of weeks, I expect to be
back with more questions.

In the meantime...anything I should know about PP 2007 and running a
presentation via projector from a portable computer?

No different than running a projector under earlier versions. Also, F12 will
give you a save as options window.

There's one issue which makes working with PowerPoint 2007 easier than with
older versions: The Online Help is much larger! Go to the Office Online
website http://office.microsoft.com and have a look at the Help & How-to
section. You'll find texts, demos and presentations there to get you started
quickly.

Best regards,
Ute
