Hello,

I have a user that created a presentation of about 59 slides and all have
lots of graphics. I was wondering if that would be the reason (too many
graphics, different font, bold italic etc) why this file hangs her system.

But what I don't understand is that I can open it without problems on my
computer and I have the same configuration (Windows 2000, Office XP).

Thank you for your support!

There are a lot of things which could influence why it runs on your machine
but not on hers. They include:
1) Differences in the amount of memory on the machines
2) Differences in the amount of temp space available on the machines
3) Differences in what else is running when the presentation is running
4) Differences in what else is loaded on the machine

That said, the problem does sound like a resources issue to me. You might
want to make sure that you have turned off Fast Saves (Tools--> Options-->
Save tab, uncheck the box) and then read this page from the PPT FAQ:
Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00062.htm

IF the suggestions there don't make any difference, post back and let us
know more about the actual presentation. Looking for stuff like does it
contain movies? Does it always fail on the same slide? If you run only part
of the presentation does it run? Does it run in the viewer on her machine?

Thanks, that solved the problem: when the user turned off the fast save and
dictionary options.

Your the best!!!
