Have a presentation that we are trying to save onto
CDRom.. it would save but couldn't open it..."not a valid
win32 application"... What are we doing wrong.

In order to "save" directly to a CD, the CD must be either CD-R or CD-RW
media in a drive capable of recording a CD-R or CD-RW disk.

In addition, you need CD-Recording software.

If you have all of the above, I would guess that the CD recording software
may not be set up correctly.

Bad idea to ever save directly to a CD. As mentioned, the CD must have
already been set up as a data disk to accept the file. You are much better
off saving the file to your hard drive and then copying it to the CD. If
you actually have homework telling you to do this exact thing, have your
teacher contact us and we will set her/him straight! HA!

The file is saved to the hard drive.. but not sure if the
disk is set up to accept data. Will look into that and I
will set the teacher straight personally... :) We also
tried using pack and go and nada!!

PS .. You are all great!!!

Can you describe "nada"? Pack and Go won't save directly to removable
media. Again, save it to your hard drive and then burn it to CD using your
CD burning software. However, Pack and Go creates two files. One file
(.PPZ) is the compressed presentation and any linked files, and the other
file is used to "unpack" the .PPZ so that it is usable and can be opened in
PowerPoint.

Can you describe "nada"?

Wait a minute. This is one of those Zen questions, isn't it?
Like "How many angels koan dance on the left hand clapping?"

Steve, you know Angels can't "koan" dance. They only know how to
"jubilation" dance.

Ah, but you should hear Bill "Koan-an the Contrarian" Coan rhapsodize about XML
and Word.
