After a Windows XP repair my monitor no longer shuts off. I have checked
all the settings in Power Section of Control Panel. Is there a way to
fix this. Is it a process that needs to be started?

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the Monitor device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.

Thanks, but after an extensive search, I found that for it to work I had
to download the latest driver for my Microsoft wireless desktop set. It
was a bug in the drivers.
