powertoys_vss.exe Screen Saver - Media Player 9

I installed the powertoys_vss.exe screensaver, however it
requires version 9 of the media player - and I have ver
10 - does anyone know of a hack around the problem?

Non yet, still waiting for a solution from M/S, I'll ask again though as
it's been a while. Question has gone, I'll post any answer I get.
