Anybody knows if Powerpoint 2003 can be protected? I want
to burn my PP show to CD ROM such a way that nobody will
be able to copy pictures or the whole disk.

Thanks Svat

Hi,

PowerPoint 2003 does allow presentations on CD Rom to be password protected,
if you also use the new viewer. But the new viewer has limitations you need
to be aware of:

Password protect a presentation

Download Free PowerPoint Viewers
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00153.htm

Make an AutoRun CD
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00037.htm

You may find it more difficult to prevent users from copying the whole disk.
The option here includes Information Rights Management, which can prevent
people form unauthorised access. Details should be available under the help
area. However, if you want to install the viewer, plus protect, plus go to
CD Rom, maybe look at a commercial solution such as Secure Pack:

Hope that helps.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

If none of the suggestions provided give you the functionality that you
were looking for or, if you (or anyone else reading this message) have
suggestions for how and why you think PowerPoint should provide this
functionality (or make it easier), don't forget to send your feedback (in
YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
