When I create slides in powerpoint not all of the slides end up with outlines for the slide. I believe it is how the slide is created but i cant figure out why and how i get the wrong ones. what I would really like to know is if there is an easy way to go bACK AND show the outline for each slide.

Thanks

Just wondering, are you using auto shapes of any kind on
the slides that don't have outlines?

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint will only show in the Outline pane, text that is in a Title,
Subtitle, or Text placeholder provided by the slide AutoLayouts. Text that
is entered into any other type of AutoLayout placeholder, autoshape or text
box will not appear in the Outline pane.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide provide a method for viewing all text in the slides in the Outline
pane as well, don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS,
please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
