My new computer came w/ a disk labeled microsoft office basic edition 2003. i have installed it, but it only came with Word, Outlook, and Excel. How do I get PowerPoint? Help!
The Basic Edition is something being sold by computer manufacturers with
some of their new computers. See Preinstalled Editions

I'd suggest that you contact the computer mfg and request a switch from
Office Basic to Office 2003 Small Business Edition.
Otherwise, I believe you'll have to purchase PPT as a stand-alone
program. Get the full program, not the upgrade. Most computer stores and
online software vendors should have it or at least be able to order it
for you.
Or you can search Ebay and the like for a previous version of PPT or
Office (again, full version) and then purchase the PPT 2003 Upgrade.
Note that in versions of Office prior to 2003, PPT was *not* included in
the Small Business Edition.
Also note that Office 2003 Basic Edition is not listed as an upgrade
qualifier for Office 2003 Small Business Edition. So don't bother trying
to purchase and use an Office 2003 SBE Upgrade.
