I have created a proposal in Word. Can I export it into PowerPoint without all the fonts, spacing, etc. changing?
Well, not exactly.
You can use File/Send to PPT, and PPT will pick up the settings from the
Word document to know where the text should go.
Anything with Heading 1 style in Word will end up as a PPT slide title.
Heading 2 style in Word will be a primary bullet in PPT. Heading 3 style
in Word is a secondary bullet in PPT, etc.
As for the fonts, those are determined by the design template -- that
is, what's specified on the slide master -- used in the PPT
presentation.
Now, if you're using PPT 2002 or 2003, you can always just copy/paste
from Word into PPT and use the "keep source formatting" option on the
paste smart tag to keep the same formatting you used in Word. Seems
pretty tedious to me, though.
