I am using powerpoint for the first time and most of the
28 slides have 1 or 4 digital pictures. It takes
powerpoint at least 5 minutes to load the presentation and
I get a message that I can't add any more pictures due to
memory shortage. The presentation has 370,916,059 kg.
What am I doing wrong. At what settings should the photos
be at?

Hello DDobner,

Welcome to using PowerPoint. I highly recommend going to
this site: www.pptfaq.com

Look up "Do This First" (it'll tell you about turning off
fast saves) and has several suggestions for reducing file
sizes as well as links to optimizers.

Have fun,

Right-click on one of the digital images you imported. Select "Format
Picture" from the pop-up menu. A new window pops up. Select the "Compress"
button. Highlight "All pictures in document". Highlight "Web/Screen". Make
sure "Compress pictures" and "Delete cropped areas of pictures" is selected.
This will compress all the digital pictures in your presentation and greatly
reduce the file size of your presentation.
