I want to keep my presentation together so I am trying to
embed my sound clips. Is there a way make the file play
(timing) without having to click on it?

For the timing, which version of PPT are you using?

As for embedding the sound files, you can embed WAVs. But before
inserting them (via Insert/Sound/From File), you need to go to
Tools/Options and put 50000 in the box for "link sound files greater
than XXX kb." This tells PPT to embed any WAV files smaller than 50MB.
