How do I get a PowerPoint Presentation saved as a .ppt file to open in my
powerpoint 2003? Gives me all kinds of error messages, and they have tried
to send it to me 5 times.

A vacuous comment like "all kinds of error messages" doesn't tell
us anything. If you want someone here to help you with the error
messages, then you will need to quote the error messages exactly
and completely just as you see them on your screen, because we
can't see your screen from here.

What *exact* error messages does it give you?

And if you haven't already done so, choose Help, Check for Updates and apply
any that are recommended.

Look in help > about microsoft powerpoint

At the end of line one does it say SP2?

If not you need to go to help > check for updates and download. Not being
able to open powerpoints from earlier versions is a known problem in early
2003 ppt.

Did that answer the question / help?

It sounds like they are emailing it to you? Just save the powerpoint
presentation with whatever name you choose and add .ppt behind it.

EX: mypresentation.ppt
