How can I actually Import the data found either from websites or excel into
powerpoint? (Not to be mistaken with copying and pasting)

For Excel you could use the insert Object, select Microsoft Excel. From web
sites. you might look at Shyam's Live web add-in here

For Powerpoint, I have found that the best thing to do is to Paste the
content from the webpage and reformat it.

If you page has a lot of tables etc, paste it into a fresh word document,
select all and clear formatting. Then you take the clean text and paste it
into powerpoint, you will find that you have greater control over the look
and feel. Hope this helps.
