OK, I cannot believe that MS has provided no way for us to take data from a
DB, and dynalmically update the premiere Presentation program (PowerPoint).
I have been tasked to come up with a way to display data from different
recordsets throughout my DB during our weekly staff meetings (which are
choreographed with PowerPoint) Does anybody know of a way to do this? I have
searched the KNowledgebase, and came up with a way to MAKE a NEW
Presentation, but this will now work. I need a way to add a recordset to say
SLIDE 1 of a prebuilt PowerPoint Presentation. Any ideas?

Nick:

Natively, Power Point does not have this capability. There are add ons
available that would support it as well as having the ability to program it
using VBA. Therer are a number of good threads on this topic in the Google
archives that should get you started.

Go to:

http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8

for the newsgroup type microsoft.public.powerpoint.*

For the search word type "database"

You'll come up with numerous options.

One thread of interest is:

"Auto populate data from database into powerpoint " in
microsoft.public.powerpoint starting on December 4, 2003.
