When I hit View Show under Slide Show, the presentation
skips straight to my second slide and I can't figure out
why it won't show my first slide.

Slides No. 1 and 4 have a light grey box around the slide
numbering on the left in slide preview. What is the grey
box for?

I need to make this presentation later today. Please
help urgently.

Thankyou

Your first slide might be "hidden". Go to Slide Sorter view and see whether
the slide number is surrounded by a square box and has a slash through it.
That means that it is hidden. Select the slide and go to Slide Show on the
toolbar and toggle the "Hide Slide" off.

Gary,
It sounds like either there is a custom show set up to be the default show
(you can check that under Slide Show--> Set Up Show and look to see if a
custom show name is set as the default to run) or that some of the slides
are hidden. If they are hidden, you can un-hide them via the right click
menu while in slide view or slide sorter view.

Does that help?
