Powerpoint won't import video clips, seizes up??!!?!?!

When I try to import a video clip, the program displays green over some areas
of the page and completely seizes up. Anyone else had this problem?
 
I recently downloaded PFCMedia and all of the recommended additional
prograrms. When I try to add a video clip to a Powerpoint presentation, I
get the same green screen....if I try to insert the clip into a slide...the
program freezes. I'm running Windows XP and Powerpoint 2003 on a Toshiba
laptop w/ 512 M of RAM.. any help would be appreciated

I have the same problem. I have downloaded all the PFCMedia files. running
