powerpoint won't allow me to customize music

I'm trying to add music to my power point presentation,
but don't have the function to customize (add music) to my
presentation. Can anyone help me??

Have you tried Insert/Movies and Sounds/Sounds from File?
 
I am struggling similarly. I will tell you that you have
to be in Normal View. Then you'll see the prompts for
insert music. Also I can get music synched from a CD with
a presentation but I can't put the two together either on
my hard drive or another CD. Would appreciate if you get
info that you send it to me.
