PowerPoint Views

Is there a monitor view in some version of PowerPoint that has a window in
part of the screen that shows the output to the vga port, but on the left
side of the monitor screen you can view and scroll through all of your
slides. The view that I'm referring to also has big (next slide)-(last slide)
buttons on the screen and you can select the next slide to be projected by
clicking on it with the mouse. They are using this PowerPoint feature at my
church to project the words of the hymns and prayers, but I want to get it on
my own computer to gain more proficiency with it.

This is called Presenter View. It is built into PowerPoint, but you need a
video card that supports it (one that can project something different on the
monitor than it presents on projector).

I don't know how far back this feature goes, but it is certainly present in
PowerPoint 2007 (it probably goes back to version 97). This is a good place

As David said it's in versions I think from 2002 **BUT** if you have a
desktop at home it may well not support multi monitors (laptops will)
**AND** you have to actually have a second monitor/projector to use it.

Thank you both. I have PowerPoint 2003. I wemt to the Help menu and typed in
"Presenter View" and was guided through the steps to set it up and make it
work.

Sometimes it just takes knowing what to look for or what something is called
to find your own help. Thanks for posting back that you got the help you
needed (what Presenter view as called) and that you now have it working.
